Publish Your Chair's Statement and Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) for Public Member Access for Pension Schemes

The Pensions Regulator introduced a requirement that Trustees pension schemes need to publish online their Chair’s Statement and Statement of Investment Principles (SIP). The information needs to be publicly available for members to access.

Initially the requirement was only for certain Occupational Pension Schemes. From 1st October 2019, this must also include the Statement of Investment Principles (SIP). From 1st October 2020, the regulation has been extended to the publishing of the Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) for DB schemes.

The Department for Work & Pensions has published detailed guidance on these new requirements.  The Chair’s Statement and SIPs must be provided on a website that meets certain requirements. We are able to satisfy all of these specific requirements which are:

Using our cost-effective service means you will not have to worry about any of these website technicalities. We will host, maintain and back up the website. As the website is offered as a stand-alone service, it removes any issues with hosting these documents on any sponsoring employer’s company website – including where there are several different schemes and/or sponsoring employers.

The service is available for an all in single fixed fee of £400+VAT.  This will give you peace of mind that everything is being completed as required by The Pensions Regulator.

If trustees don’t produce a chair’s statement which is compliant with the law, then they may be fined by the Pensions Regulator.

If you would like more details on how we can host your Chair Statements and SIPs, click here.

Additionally, we are able to incorporate future additional requirements that may be imposed by the Pensions Regulator or the DWP.

If you would like to use our Chair Statements service or if you have any questions then please fill in your details on the Contact page.
